There is nothing wrong with a box of chocolates, bunch of flowers or a mug with ‘World’s best mum’ on it. They are perfectly decent presents for a mum or mother figure to receive on Mothering Sunday – along with breakfast in bed of course. But, some years, there are gifts that mums receive that blow their socks off. They’re not always the gifts that cost the earth – or cost anything at all – but they are the gifts that mean the most.
Here mums tell us the best Mother’s Day gift they have ever received.
1. Katie Loveley, author I am the mother of two grown-up children and step-mother to a further three grown up children.
We are a happy family and share many magical times together. Every opportunity that arises, we celebrate the occasion. Mother’s Day is no exception to this rule and usually involves us sitting down together to enjoy the traditional Sunday roast. Over the years I have received many wonderful gifts, however, the gift that has touched me the most, was a book: Mothers Please. One hundred poems for every mother. Books, to me, are the perfect gift.
2.Jen Watton, My favourite gift was a frame with a list inside with reasons why my children love me.
3.Liz Walker,I have an apple watch series 3, but the band is broken.my honey daught send me a swees leather band as the gift .it is beautiful , i love it
